THE SEA, COFFEE, RAIN, PEOPLE AND MY SOAKED CLOTHES

I went to the rocks that looked over the sea
with a steaming café Americano in hand
I sat there and was dissolving along with its bitter sweet warmth
into the salty cold sea..
Breathing in its fresh rough wilderness with the gloom that surrounded it
And it started to rain
First with soft slanted drops..
i saw them falling but I never felt them on my skin..
Then it started to pour.. It was dripping down on me..
I still didn’t feel them
I was sitting there letting my own tears kiss me as they fell from the sky
It was crying the tears that were screaming to come out from my soul..
but my eyes and heart were too tired and weary to put them out…
So I let the sky cry for me..
I felt useless for not being able to even cry for me, yet it helped..
Then I took the longest walk in the rain…
from rocks of bamba to kolpity and then to uni…
With the empty brown polystyrene cup in my hand
People were watching me pass by
With the looks of confusion and some with the looks of hatred
Many offered me umbrellas, rides, seduced x-raying glances at my wet body,
And humorously painful words
I walked on…and still walking on..
It’d be an endless walk in the rain..
Where all I meet offers me shelter or pain
So I will walk on .. Soaked..
Watching the world watching me..
Until that day when I melt away with the rain
